Is Translation Excellence ISO certified?
Yes. Translation Excellence is certified to ISO 9001 for quality management, ISO 17100 for translation services, ISO 18587 for post-editing of machine translation, ISO 18841 for interpreting services, and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 for information security. Each certification is maintained through independent audits.
What is ISO 17100?
ISO 17100 is the international standard for translation services. It sets requirements for translator qualifications, revision of every translation by a second qualified linguist, project management, and the records kept for each job.
Is an ISO 17100 translation the same as a certified translation?
No. A certified translation comes with a signed statement that the translation is complete and accurate, which courts and agencies such as USCIS require. ISO 17100 certifies the process used to produce the translation. We provide both.
What does ISO 18587 cover?
ISO 18587 is the standard for full post-editing of machine translation output and for post-editor competences. We use it for high-volume content where machine translation fits, with qualified linguists post-editing the output to human quality.
What does ISO/IEC 27001 mean for my data?
It means our information security management system is independently audited. Your files move through our encrypted client portal, with AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.2+ in transit, and access is limited to the people assigned to your project.
Can I get copies of your ISO certificates?
Yes. We share current certificates on request for procurement and vendor reviews. Email info@translationexcellence.com or schedule a meeting with our team.
